SOUTHEAST, N.Y. — Police in Putnam County, N.Y., arrested a 23-year-old Southeast, N.Y., man on charges that he stole upwards of $2,000 worth of tools from a storage building earlier this year.
According to a press release issued by the Putnam County Sheriff’s office, Thomas Patrick McCabe of Route 312, Southeast, was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.
He was released after posting $750 bail. If convicted, McCabe could face up to seven years in prison, according to the release.
The charge stems from an investigation by Sheriff’s office Investigator John Alfano which found that McCabe had broken into a storage building and stole the tools, according to the release.
