The Danbury Board of Education hosts a parent meeting Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. at Broadview Middle School in the Auditorium to discuss a proposal for redistricting some of the city schools to reduce over crowding.
The redistricting analysis will be presented by consultant Ross Haber, who has studied the city’s growth patterns, school enrollment and other criteria to come up with a couple of proposals to address the over crowding.
At 7 p.m. there will be the general meeting and presentation.
At 7:30 p.m., there will be breakout sessions by schools that will be affected by the redistricting plan.
Those schools include those who have students on streets in their catchment areas who will be sent to other schools.
They are Mill Ridge Primary, Morris Street, Park Avenue, Shelter Rock,
South Street, and Stadley Rough schools.
