RIDGEFIELD — Police on Thursday released additional information about the accident that took the life of a 15-year-old Emma Sandhu last week.
Although they continued to withhold the driver’s name, department spokesman Major Stephen Brown said the operator of the car that killed the Ridgefield High School sophomore was a 24-year-old Ridgefield man.
Brown said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with police.
Sandhu had been walking with friends on Ridgebury Road when the accident occurred about 9:30 p.m. on March 14.
The accident remains under investigation and no charges have yet been filed, Brown said.
