The Ridgefield Board of Finance will hold its annual budget hearing Wednesday. March 26, at 7:30 p.m. at East Ridge Middle School.
The hearing will allow the town to comment on the proposed budgets submitted by the boards of selectmen and education before the finance board begins its deliberations on the 2014-15 town budget.
The proposed town operating budget is $33.2 million, a 2.97 percent increase over the current $32.3 million.
The proposed school budget of $85.2 million, a 2.86 percent increase over the current $82.9 million.
Combined with proposed debt service of $13 million, the proposed town budget is $131.5 million, a 2.45 percent increase over the current town spending plan of $128.3 million.
