CEA teachers discuss Common Core task force

The Governor’s task force on the Common Core Standards met this week.

The task force co-chairs, East Hartford Superintendent Nate Quesnel and Hartford teacher Erin Wilson, told the task force that there are four areas on which the group will focus.

1. Identifying the strengths and weaknesses of Common Core implementation.
2. Showcasing best practices in Common Core implementation.
3. Developing recommendations to deliver to the governor’s office.
4. Finding solutions to problems with the roll out.
