A house fire has been reported on Route 6 in Newtown.
Emergency crews were reportedly on scene of a working fire at 54 Mount Pleasant Road with flames showing from the eaves of the home just after 8:15 p.m. Saturday evening.
Drivers should be very careful on Route 6 near Diamond Drive as more emergency vehicles might be on the way to the scene.
Town records show that there is a 1.5 story Cape-style home at that address that was built in 1936.
