DANBURY -- The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Fairfield County as well as Westchester and Rockland counties in New York. The warning lasts until 11 a.m. and warns of another 1 to 2 inches of rain on its way this morning, causing excessive runoff and flooding to small creeks and streams as well as highways and underpasses. "Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property," the warning states. "Do not attempt to cross swiftly flowing waters or waters of unknown depth by foot or by automobile."
