DANBURY — City police arrested a 35-year-old man Tuesday after receiving reports involving the sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl.
Police on April 2 received the report from the Department of Children and Families, which in turn had been notified via the DCF Careline, regarding the sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl, Danbury Police Lt. Christian Carroccio said.
The police department’s Special Victim’s Unit investigated the report and later secured an arrest warrant for Juan Vidal, 35, of Danbury.
On Wednesday, Vidal was arrested on six counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $75,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment Thursday morning.
