Wooster School third-grader Grace Rundhaug will be making her television debut in NBC’s “The Sound of Music Live” on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m.
In addition to the live on-air television performance, Grace and her fellow cast members will be appearing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, on Thursday, Nov. 28. Look for the cast of “The Sound of Music Live” to perform right in front of Macy’s, at Herald’s Square, during the first hour of the national broadcast, beginning at 9 a.m. EST.
“The Sound of Music Live” is based on the original Broadway musical. The story centers on a young woman who leaves an Austrian convent to become a governess to the seven children of a naval officer widower. Grace will star as Marta von Trapp, one of the seven von Trapp children.
On Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 8 p.m. EST, “The Making Of The Sound of Music Live” will air on NBC. Viewers will have a chance to see clips from the nationwide casting call, rehearsals in action with the cast, and the 40-piece orchestra recording the soundtrack.
