The FBI returned 18 boxes of documents to Bridgewater officials Friday that were seized almost two years ago at Town Hall.
The FBI told First Selectman Curtis Read that the investigation is closed and no criminal charges will be filed, according to a two-sentence press release from Bridgewater officials.
The agency did not disclose the nature of its investigation. The July 2012 raid came during the tenure of Bill Stuart, the former first selectman.
