A 24-year-old Danbury woman is facing drug charges following a raid on her residence by the Danbury Police Special Investigations Division Thursday.
Erica Musolino’s car and residence at Thomas Street, Danbury were searched Thursday afternoon on a court issued warrant after case intelligence revealed Musolino was driving to meet drug users throughout the city to sell illegal drugs, police said.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., with assistance of a K-9 officer located Musolino after she parked her car at a private business. She was immediately arrested on an outstanding warrant for evading responsibilty in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Jan. 28, police said.
The subsequent search of Musloino’s person found she was concealing crack cocaine in her undergarments, police said. The search of her residence revealed a further stash of illegal drugs. The drugs were found in a bedroom, which Musolino shared with a young child. This child was one of three children under the age of 16 living in the residence, police said.
A substantial quantity of crack cocaine and U.S. currency was seized, according to police.
Musolino was released on $100,000 bond, with a court date May 20 for arraignment in Superior Court in Danbury.
She is charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell; possession withing 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school, and risk of injury to a minor.
