There will be a public hearing on the fate of the Schlumberger-Doll Research Center property in Ridgefield at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14 at Town Hall, 400 Main Street.
The hearing will give residents a chance to propose ways the town could use the 40-acre campus, which it purchased in 2011 for $7 million. In May, voters rejected a proposal by the Board of Selectmen to sell 10 acres of the land to Toll Brothers for $4 million. Toll Brothers would have built 30 luxury condominiums on the property.
This is the second of three hearings on the property. The third will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. June 25 at Town Hall.
