If you are looking for just the right summer book to read, or enjoy the possibility of finding a rare title or books signed by authors - one anonymous box of books this year has inscriptions to Academy Award winning actress Glenn Close  _ you will not want to miss the annual book sale at the C.H. Booth Library sale that will run from Saturday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 16. .

A closer look revealed that all of the inscriptions were to “Glenn”,  as in the renowned Academy Award winning actress, Glenn Close.

The donation of some 100,000 books clearly offers  something for everyone, whether you are romantic fiction fan or like to build cabinets or knit. There are well over 1,000 science fiction books as well as many paperback mysteries to help with late night insomnia. There is also a plentiful supply of children’s literature.

“There are more classics, both hardcover and paperback, than ever before. It’s extraordinary,” said one volunteer in a news release.

Of course, the collection to be offered also includes CDs and more than 1,000 DVDs, all electronically inspected to be certain they are of performance quality.

An admission of $5 is charged Saturday (those 18 and under are free).  Tickets go on sale at 7 am.  Hours are Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm, Monday 9am-7pm (1/2 price day), Tuesday 9am-7pm ($5/bag day), Wednesday, 9am-noon (Free day). All sales benefit the library.
