The Brewster Train Station will be one of the venues for this year’s VOB Film Festival.

Film lovers can plan now for the VOB Film Festival, which will be showing films at five locations in Brewster, N.Y., over Labor Day Weekend.

This year, over 40 films from local and international filmmakers will be screened over Aug. 29 to 31. The newest location for screenings will be the Brewster train station, where the work of filmmakers from the New York metropolitan region  will be shown from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. The films shown at the train station will be free to attend. Not only will it be convenient for those taking the train to the festival, but parking in Metro North parking areas is free on Saturdays.

The Dinner and a Movie event that kicks off the festival on Friday, Aug. 29, will feature “Jammed,” a comedy by Yedidya Gorseman of Riverdale, N.Y.

To accommodate the increased number of films being included in the festival this year, the number of venues and the hours have been expanded. Slots have been added to the Saturday morning and afternoon schedules, and films will start at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday.
