DANBURY – The combination of heat and humidity in Tuesday’s forecast for Fairfield County has prompted the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to issue an air quality alert.
Ground level ozone has the potential to reach unhealthy levels, creating hazards for sensitive groups, including people who have to do strenuous labor and people with respiratory ailments.
The alert is in effect from noon until 10 p.m. Tuesday.
