BROOKFIELD — Joanne Stein, 40, of West Fargo, ND, is facing narcotics charges after UPS workers found Oxycodone pills in a package addressed by her.
Brookfield Police received a call from the management at UPS Pocono Road Aug. 11 that a package broke open during shipping and several pills slid out into the clear plastic label on the package, police said.
Officers responding identified the pills as 10 mg Oxycodone tables. Stein was arrested in the UPS parking lot when she arrived to pick up the pills, police said she had been calling the UPS station to find out where the package was, they said..
Stein is free on $500 court set bond with an arraignment set for Sept. 5 in Superior Court in Danbury.
