Brookfield police arrested a woman Sunday night who passed out while driving her car with children inside.
Officers found a black BMW running in the middle of Signal Hill Road late Sunday evening. When officers approached the car they found Emily Wild, 45, unconscious and slumped over the steering wheel.
Three children where found in the back seat of the car.
After waking Wild, police suspected she had been drinking and driving. She later failed the field sobriety test and was charged with driving under the influence and three counts of risk of injury to a child.
Wild was transported to Danbury Hospital and was released after promising to appear in Danbury Superior Court on September 4.
