DANBURY – Teenage businessman Ian Bick was arrested Tuesday on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal mischief.

Police would not elaborate on the charge, except to say that the 19-year-old was released on $500 bail and is due in City Court on Sept. 10.

Bick, the owner of the live music venue Tuxedo Junction on Ives Street, is a Danbury High School graduate who made headlines in December when he announced plans to open a second Ives Street nightclub called Skyy Bar.

Reached at his home Tuesday, Bick said the arrest was part of a pattern of police retaliation stemming from an underage drinking raid at his club earlier in the summer.

Bick said he did not know what the criminal mischief charge referred to.

“They held me for two-and-a-half-hours and didn’t tell me anything,” he said.
