Two Danbury brothers led police on a foot chase to avoid arrest on Monday.
Police were patrolling streets around Putnam Towers when they saw Ive, 24 and Anthony James, 25, on Beaver Street. Police were aware that Ive had a warrant for his arrest and tried to stop the brothers.
Ive and Anthony started to yell at the officers then took off running, police said. After chasing the brothers through a neighborhood, police tried to arrest them. The brothers struggled and hit one officer several times and took off again.
The brothers were later found hiding in a garage in nearby home. They were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing, assault of a police officer and interfering in an arrest. Both were held on a $25,000 bond and Ives also had a $10,000 violation of probation warrant bond.
