New Fairfield Middle School was chosen by the Connecticut Association of Schools as the winner of the 2014-2015 Middle School of the Year.
The middle school was chosen from among 150 middle schools in the state. The Association noted the school’s leadership, its inclusion of special-needs students with their peers, its support for innovation and academic risk-taking and other achievements when making their final decision. The school will hold a celebration for families at its open house on Sept. 11 and with the Association and students on Sept. 12.
