For the next three days drivers might hit some delays while driving through Newtown.
The Department of Transportation will be closing lanes as they inspect bridges in the area.
Starting Tuesday, there will be closures on I-84 Eastbound between exits 11 and 12. Crews will be alternating between closing the left and right lanes.
The same area will be effected on Wednesday, except crews will be on I-84 Westbound.
On Thursday the on ramp from Route 34 to I-84 Westbound will have alternating closed left and right lanes.
Each bridge inspection will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue into the afternoon. All commuters going through these areas should use caution and expect delays.
