It’s flu shot season! Bethel VNA will have public flu clinics this week, at Regional YMCA, 2 Huckleberry Road in Brookfield, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9; and at Bethel Senior Center, 1 School St. , from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10.
Next week, there will be clinics at the Newtown Senior Center, 14 Riverside Dr., from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Oct. 14; and at Union Savings Bank, 79 Stony Hill Road in Bethel, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17.
The following week, there will be a flu clinic at John Read School Community Room, 486 Redding Road in Redding, from 3 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21; and at Caraluzzi’s Georgetown Market, 920 Danbury Road in Wilton, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 27. The public flu clinic schedule for 2014 will make flu vaccines available for people age 6 months and older. Preservative-free flu vaccines, high-dose flu vaccines for ages 65 and older, intranasal FluMist vaccine for ages 2 to 49 years, quadrivalent flu shots and traditional flu shots will be available.
Participating insurances include Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, ConnectiCare, Healthy CT, Medicare Part B and Oxford. Others can pay by cash, check, health savings account or credit card.
