Starting next Monday,  rail riders on Metro-North’s Danbury Branch will be able to use their credit cards to purchase tickets onboard their trains as part of a limited pilot program to test new Ticket Issuing Machines (TIMs).

Ticket purchases may be made using any major credit card (or you may use your debit card as a credit card). Conductors will also be able to print out customer receipts from their upgraded TIMs.

This new customer convenience is being tested on these branch lines before being expanded to all lines.

During this test period, the new TIMs may be in use for credit card purchases on a limited number of additional trains on other lines. C

Customers should remember that purchasing your ticket on board the train is always the most expensive option.
