The man wanted on warrants for drunken and reckless driving in New Canaan and Danbury and infamous for a drunken joyride in a plane stolen from Danbury Municipal Airport six years earlier, will be returning to Danbury Superior Court Wednesday morning.
Philippe Patricio, 30, is accused of driving under the influence after Danbury police said his vehicle was seen swerving in front of an officer early Monday on Newtown Road.

6-24-2005, HARRISON COURT BUILDING, HARRISON, NY, Philippe Patricio, 20(white shirt), surrounded by the media is escorted by a Westchester County Police officer into court at the Harrison, NY, Courthouse, for his arraignment for allegedly stealing a cessna plane from Danbury Airport and taking it on a 5 hour drunken joy ride 2 days ago.
Patricio will be entering a plea in court, no word yet on who his lawyer is. He has been held in jail since his arrest earlier last month. Patricio has been charged with DUI, reckless driving, criminal impersonation and interfering with officers.
Police said Patricio did not have a driver’s license and gave a false name when he was pulled over. They did not realize it was Patricio until he was fingerprinted.
Patricio served nine months in a New York prison after he was found guilty in 2006 of stealing a single-engine Cessna from Danbury Municipal Airport the previous year and, with two 16-year-old friends on board, drunkenly flew the plane for three hours before landing at Westchester County Airport.
But six years later, Patricio surfaced again when he was charged in 2011 with driving under the influence, reckless driving and avoiding arrest in New Canaan. He was charged in New Canaan with failure to appear after not showing up for his court date, police said.
Danbury police said those New Canaan warrants remained outstanding when Patricio was arrested in October.
