KENT — The lot at 60 North Main Street in Kent that the town planned to buy for a town green/public restrooms/visitor’s center development has another buyer interested.First
Selectman Bruce Adams said the second interested party has offered more for the 1.6 acre parcel than the town’s offer. However, Realtor Paul Dooley, the listing agent for the property, declined any information on who the second potential buyer is or on the purchase price offered.
Adams said Wednesday that by mid-November he will know if the town is back in the running to purchase the parcel. A $500,000 Small Town Economic Assistance Program grant has been secured by Adams toward the purchase.
