The Ridgefield father who pleaded not guilty last month to criminally negligent homicide in the death of his toddler will appear Tuesday in state Superior Court in Danbury for the start of pretrial hearings.
Kyle Seitz’s lead attorney, John Gulash, said he hopes before the hearing to speak with the judge, who has not yet been assigned, and State’s Attorney Stephen Sendensky. Gulash would not say what he planned to discuss with them.
Sedensky said Tuesday’s hearing will be to consider moving the case to a different courtroom for further pretrial discussions.
A four-month investigation culminated last month with Seitz’s arrest after he left his 15-month-old son, Benjamin, inside his hot car all day July 7.
Seitz could face a year in prison if convicted.
