Driver will continue to get a break at the pump this holiday season as gas prices continue to plummet in Danbury.
As of Monday the average price of a gallon of gas in the state is $2.91, according to AAA. That is an 11 cents drop since last week, 29 cents since last month and 56 cents since this time last year.

In Danbury, prices range from $2.59 to $2.79. According to gasbuddy.com the cheapest priced gas is $2.59 at Noble gas station on Padanaram Road, Standard gas station on North Main Street near Golden Hill Road and Valero gas station on Pembroke Road.
Connecticut is still the fourth highest average gas prices in the country behind Hawaii at $3.70, Alaska at $3.39, and New York at $2.98. According to AAA, Missouri is the nation’s lowest price at $2.25 followed by Oklahoma at $2.29.
AAA Southern New England’s Dec. 15 survey of prices in Connecticut’s four regional areas as follows:
