A Danbury teenager was arrested last week for threatening to kill students and teachers at Education Connection on Main Street, according to an arrest warrant.
Jahun Danzy, 18, has been charged with second degree threatening and harassment and is being held on a $7,500 bond. He is also not allowed to have any contact with anyone who attends or works at Education Connection.
Danzy was arrested after a student told the school’s principal that he had been harassing her over Facebook messages and text messages, according to court documents.
Danzy started to sexually harass the girl in October and after the girl messaged him tell him to stop and calling him “pathetic,” he started to threaten her and her family, according to court documents. It was not until he threaten to kill students and teachers at Education Connection did she alert her principal.
According to court documents, Danzy use to be a student at Education Connection but was expelled for behavioral issues. He was also suspended from his current school for similar comments about killing people.
Including this incident, Danzy has three active cases in Danbury Superior Court. He was arrested on December 21 for a unrelated incident involving his family and was charged with third degree assault, second degree criminal mischief and second degree threatening. He is being held on another $5,000 for those charges.
In November he was charged with criminal mischief and released on a $1,000 bond.
Danzy will be back in court on January 14 to enter a plea.
