UPDATE: JAN. 4: 5:30 P.M. The water main break on Pickett District Road in New Milford occurred Sunday morning about 10:30 a.m., according to Aquarion Water spokesperson. Repairs to the water main are expected to be done by 6 p.m. Sunday with water turned by on.
Aquarion customers in that area may have experienced problems with water pressurre and water flow due to the break.
NEW MILFORD — Major water main break reported on Pickett District Road in front of Kimberly-Clark. The repair is estimated to take 10 hours, per Water Witch Hose Co. No. s chief Jim Ferlow.
Currently northbound traffic is being detoured from Pickett District Road at Dodd Road. Southbound traffic cannot pass Kimberly-Clark’s north gate.
