One Danbury firefighter was being treated for chemical inhalation at the scene of a fire at Beaver Brook Road on Thursday morning.
Good Life Energy Savers, an insulation business had an issue when they tried to mix two barrels of unknown chemicals and put to much of one in, said Steve Rogers, of the Danbury Fire Department.

The chemical reaction caused a small fire inside the building, but also created large amounts of smoke, Rogers said.
Firefighters are clearing out the area and both sides of the building, Roger said. The chemicals are an irritant in terms of breathing and the smell spread throughout the area.
The chemicals are not immediately dangerous, but having a long term exposure could cause health problems, Rogers said.
One firefighter was sent to the ambulance to be monitored after breathing in to much of the chemicals, Rogers said. But they do not anticipate any problems with the firefighter.
Firefighters are monitoring the situation and the Health Department and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection have been notified.

Firefighters are at the building that holds Vision Designs, where smoke is filling the building. More trucks and EMS have been called to the scene.
