NEW MILFORD- Police are seeking help from the public in locating the driver of a van that crashed on Route 7 Friday evening.
The 9:26 p.m. accident just north of Larson Road, near the De Italian restaurant, closed Route 7 in both directions while utility crews replaced damaged equipment, police said.
Witnesses told police that the driver exited the white 2012 Nissan van and fled on foot before officers arrived.
