As of Tuesday morning, just about half a foot of snow had fallen in Danbury, much less than the approximate 2- to 3-foot some forecasts were calling for. Still, most businesses remained closed Tuesday morning and few people were seen on Main Street.
One of them, Remo Degrazie, said he was “a little disappointed” that Danbury missed the worst of the blizzard, but he was glad the work today won’t be as hard.
“It’s a lot less work, so that’s the good thing about it,” he said.
Degrazie said he had bought food, water, fuel for his car and his snow blower and even sand to prepare for the worst.
“Overall, I was well prepared,” he said. “Preparation literally wins a war. When you’re battling the environment, you should always be over prepared.”
