Ridgefield police arrested a wanted and armed man on Saturday night, after New York police chased him into Connecticut.
During a police pursuit with the Westchester County Police, Antony Vincent, 28, from Miami, Fl. drove into Ridgefield on West Lane, police said. When Ridgefield police were notified, they realized that Vincent was wanted on a felony charge stemming from a 2006 criminal mischief arrest in Ridgefield. Vincent never appeared in court for that charge.

Ridgefield and New York officers started to check the area of West Lane for Vincent’s car. His car was found a short time later in the driveway of a Mead Ridge Road home, police said. However, Vincent had ditched his car and took off on foot.
Ridgefield officers used their police K-9 Loki to track Vincent in a set up perimeter, police said. K-9 Loki was able to find Vincent, who had buried himself in the snow about a quarter of a mile from his car.
Not only did K-9 Loki find Vincent, but also found a bag with 3.5 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of marijuana and a switchblade knife, police said.
Vincent was charged with interfering with the duties of a police officer, failure to appear, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to sell.
Vincent was held on a $7,500 bond, which he posted, but was then released into the custody of the Connecticut State Police, who also had an active warrant for his arrest.
He will be arraigned in Danbury Superior Court on Feb. 20.
