DANBURY – The ground was turning white in Danbury Saturday evening as the snow intensity started to pick up.
Danbury police and fire departments reported no issues because of the weather in the afternoon. State Police said there were two minor car accidents caused by slippery road conditions on Interstate 84 near Danbury, but no one was injured.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Fairfield County until 1 p.m. Sunday. Danbury could see between 2 and 4 inches of snow through the night.
A wind advisory will begin at midnight as wind chill values are expected to be between zero and 10 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph.
Metro-North said it has no plans to shut down or cancel any trains.
