UPDATE 10:55 a.m.
Bethel Superintendent of Schools Christine Carver confirmed today that Brian Stroh was a teacher at Berry School prior to resigning on Feb. 19 after being placed on administrative leave.
“District officials learned that Brian Stroh was arrested last night for sexual asault in the fourth degree and risk of injury to a minor,” Carver wrote in a March 10 to parents and guardians. “While current information indicates that Mr. Stroh’s alleged activities took place away from school, these allegations are deeply troubling.”
Carver wrote that while Stroh is no longer employed by Bethel Public Schools, the district will continue to work with the Department of Children and Families and law enforcement officials.
The district has had no contact with Stroh since his resignation other than sending paperwork regarding his resignation, Carver wrote.
