DANBURY — In yet another case of shoplifting from the Danbury Walmart, a 69-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after he was seen stealing from store’s automotive aisle, police said.
Officers went to Walmart, 67 Newtown Road, at about 2:30 p.m. for a report of a shoplifter in custody, according to police.
Security personnel told officers that Paul Schroeder, of Newtown, took a number of items and walked out without paying for them, police said.
Schroeder was charged with sixth-degree larceny and was released on a promise to appear in court April 22.
This was at least the third arrest at Walmart this week. On Monday, two Bethel women were charged with stealing makeup from the store.
Four other people are facing similar charges after trying to steal from the store in recent days, according to police. For details on those arrests, click here and here.
