An 18-year-old Danbury man is facing a weapon charge after police found him Sunday with a machete at Tarrywile Park, according to the report.
Officers were dispatched to the park, 70 Southern Blvd., at about 7 p.m. for a disturbance report. When they arrived, they found six people inside a parked car, police said.
Officers immediately noticed a large machete with a black case sitting in plain view inside the car, according to the report.
Joshua Castillo, of Whitlock Avenue, took ownership of the machete and he was charged with possession of a weapon in a vehicle.
The suspect also had an active warrant for simple trespass, driving without a license and failure to respond to infraction.
He’s being held on a combined $1,250 bond.
