NEWTOWN — A 64-year-old patron at a Main Street restaurant was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs Sunday, Newtown police said.
Officers received reports of a possible impaired driver leaving Botsford Drive-In, 282 Main St., and immediately found the suspect, Bridgeport resident Peter Russell, police said.
Upon questioning the suspect, police took him into custody. He posted $200 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 5.
