The structure fire that hit a two-story ranch on Squire Road this morning is out, Roxbury Fire Marshal Janet Morgan said.
One young man was taken to Danbury Hospital for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported, she said.
It took firefighters just over an hour to extinguish the fire, which fully involved the house at one point, according to scanner and social media reports. Multiple units provided mutual aid to local firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Morgan said.

ROXBURY — Several departments are battling a structure fire on Squire Road, according to the Roxbury fire marshal’s office.
The house is near Southbury Road, or Route 67.
No further information was immediately available.
