An evening of painting and wine is on tap Friday at the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut.
Teaching artist Susan Jackson will host her popular “Masters & Mixers” event for adults who want to return to painting at the @287 Gallery & Meeting Place at 287 Main Street.
“A full house, a fuller wineglass and the fullest experience,” is Jackson’s motto for the class, in which adults will be guided through proper painting steps and offered encouragement to create personal works inspired by a featured painting.
For $35, each person will be supplied with brushes, a canvas, an easel and an apron. The event will run from 7-9:30 p.m.
Guests are invited to bring their own wine, or other beverages, and snacks to share in what the Cultural Alliance says will be a festive and instructive gathering.
