UPDATE 6:50 PM:
A 56-year-old man died after his truck went off the road on Lake Avenue Extension and stuck some trees.
The man who was driving a small mason type truck is believed to have worked for the City of Danbury, according to Assistant Fire Chief Mark Omasta.
Firefighters worked to extricate the man from the truck but he sustained fatal injuries on impact, said Omasta. He was the only one in the vehicle at the time.
Officials are withholding the name of the deceased until next of kin can be notified.

DANBURY — A three-car accident was reported between exits 5 and 7 on eastbound Interstate 84 just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to scanner reports.
In a different accident also about 5 p.m., a car fire was reported on Lake Avenue Extension.
