KENT — The Region 1 education budget for 2015-16 passed Tuesday in all six towns.
The $15.43 million budget passed by a total vote of 400 to 203. The vote was the closest in Sharon at 41 to 40. In Kent, voters turned out in low numbers passing the budget by 62 to 33.
Kent’s portion of the budget is $2.5 million, up $77,620 from the present year. Per pupil cost is $25,535.
