Four women were arrested Thursday night during an undercover operation targeting prostitutes in downtown Danbury.

The police department’s Special Investigations Unit, assisted by federal agents, conducted the operation on Spring and Beaver streets starting at around 8 p.m. that night, police said.

The four suspects were taken into custody after making deals with an undercover officer for sexual acts in exchange for money, according to the report.

Danbury residents Jodi Davenport, 29, Mary Rosado, 55, and Deborah Waldron, 56; and Brookfield resident Jaime Silvernale, 30, were charged with prostitution.

Davenport also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Silvernale also was charged with interfering with an officer after she gave a fake name to officers, police said.

Officers also arrested a man who police said made a deal with one of prostitutes that night. Wilian Vasquez, 32, of Danbury, was charged with patronizing a prostitute.
