A collection of Gary Stanford’s photography, which captures New York City’s vibrant cityscapes and still moments, is on view at Bethel Public Library.
“City Limits: The Urban Landscape” juxtaposes the simplicity of a bench in Central Park against the towering structures of New York’s bridges. The photos personify the diversity of the Big Apple.
Stanford, of Stanford Photography Group, LLC., is a New York transplant and avid photographer who lives in Danbury. His work, which includes seascapes, modern dance and urban structures, has been on display at several venues, including the Fairfield History Museum, Danbury Center, Danbury City Hall and Escape to the Arts Gallery.
Bethel Public Library is at 189 Greenwood Ave. and Stanford’s show will remain up through Monday, May 27. An artist’s reception will be held on Monday, May 18, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
