BETHEL – The town and education budget plans head to a second referendum on Thursday.

After voters rejected those two budgets in April, the Board of Finance slashed $542,000 from the plans and proposed $43 million in school spending and $27.3 million for town departments. The town budget also includes school maintenance and debt service.

The new plan would pose an estimated 0.2 percent increase in property taxes.

The town’s three polling stations will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Districts 1 and 4 vote at Town Hall
  • District 2 votes at Stony Hill Fire House
  • Districts 3 and 5 vote at Berry Elementary School

Voting district information by street can be found on the Registrars of Voters’ page on the town’s here.
