DANBURY — A city man suspected of trying to break into a store downtown became violent when officers tried to arrest him this week, police said.
Officers saw Joshua Georgi, 19, trying to open the door of a closed business on Main Street at about 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to the report.
After noticing he was intoxicated, police asked him to leave the area but he began screaming at the officers, police said. The suspect even threatened to assault an officer, according to police.
Georgi was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an officer. He was released on a promise to appear in court May 27.
