DANBURY – A Louisiana man is being held on a $5,000 bond Tuesday after police said they caught him with crack cocaine at the PriceRite parking lot, 35 Main St.
Officers arrived at the lot at about 1:30 this morning for a report of drug activity inside a white semi-truck, police said. When they approached the driver, Robert Whiteway, police saw him trying to hide a white rock substance, which later tested positive for crack cocaine, according to the report.
Whiteway, 42, of Walker, La., was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of drugs near a school.
