BROOKFIELD — A man is being held on a $25,000 bond after police said he assaulted another man with a baseball bat at the town’s Goodwill Super Store, 165 Federal Road.
Peter Suarez, 40, of Bridgewater, drove away immediately after the May 9 incident but police eventually found and stopped his car, according to the report. The suspect then became “uncooperative and confrontational” as he was placed into custody, police said.
Suarez was charged with second-degree assault, a felony; second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer.
Police said the victim suffered “very minor” injuries. The fight started after an apparent road rage incident, according to the report.
Suarez has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to appear in court on June 4, according to the state Department of Justice.
