The Danbury Museum & Historical Society will host the Gather in the Garden, its annual fundraiser, from 1-3 p.m. June 20 at the home of Erika and Dean Askin, which is the former Brookfield Tavern at 19 Connecticut Avenue.
Only 100 tickets are available for the event. There will be live music by The Red Hots, a silent auction and light refreshments and wine will be served.
The tavern was disassembled and moved to Danbury in 1918 to be used as the showroom for antiques collector/dealer George Ives, the cousin of composer Charles Ives. The first floor of it will be open for this event so guests can visit the colonial taproom.
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online at www.danburymuseum.org, by calling the museum at 203-743-5200 or by visiting the museum between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
