FirstLight has agreed to restore the full $50,000 contribution to CLA for 2015-16
UPDATE: JUNE 3: 3:24 p.m. The grants awarded the Connecticut Lake Authority by FirstLight Power Resources total $23,254. Those grants stand and the additional $50,000 contribution will be included.

GDF Suez, parent company of FirstLight Power Resources announced today that it is restoring the full $50,000 contribution it makes to the Candlewood Lake Authority for 2015-16.
The $50,000 will be contributed on top of $50,000 in grants already awarded the CLA through FirstLight’s Housatonic River Project Fund.
“Today’s announcement that FirstLight is restoring the full $50,000 contribution, in addition to awarding merit-based grants…. is fantastic news,” said Senator Chris Murphy, D-Connecticut.
“I’m glad that FirstLight listened to my concerns and the concerns of local communities,” Murphy said. “I won’t rest until FirstLight , the Candlewood Lake Authority, and the communities reach a permanent funding solution.”
